Very rare South Dakota history book which examines the nomenclature of hundreds of places in the region, and the rich social, natural, ethnic and historical influences on the naming of locations in the state. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and slight shelf wear around the edges. Fading to dj spine. Boards straight and clean but with corners bumped. Binding material faintly visible in a few gutters though spine is straight and binding remains fairly strong on the whole. All pages clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
